SYLVIA SHOAL - MOZAMBIQUE

My Mom just got home from spending 10 days in Mozambique at the Guest Lodge she is going to run, "Sylvia Shoal"!! Check out the pics of this little piece of heaven!! She starts officially on June 1st, but will be back in Mozambique for a couple weeks in April. I am so jealous! Talk about paradise! For those of you who know my Mom, you know that this is her kinda paradise!!

MORE TEAGAN!

Here are a few random pics I have taken in the past couple of days. Teagan's new fun thing to do is completely submerge herself in the bathtub, leaving only her face above water!! It is really funny to watch and very cute!! She is also obsessed with "Bubbles"!! (NOTE! The color of the water in the tub is due to the fact that I am on a well, not because it's dirty!!)

WAS IT EASTER OR CHRISTMAS??!!

We had a wonderful Easter! We went to Church in the morning, then headed out for Breakfast. And spent a wonderful afternoon with Lynn and her family. Lynn made a delicious Easter meal and spoiled Teagan like crazy!! The girl got so many Easter gifts I wasn't sure if it was Easter or Christmas!!?

What a great surprise when I got home last night and there was a package from our SBP in the mail!! She sent Teagan the cutest little outfit and hair accessory, along with some yummy M&M's!! I will post pics tomorrow. Just wanted to THANK YOU!!

TEAGAN SHUT THE STORE DOWN!!

So one of the joy's, as I found out last night, of having a 2 year old is that the "Mischievous Gene" apparently kicks in at full force!! I had to run an errand and return some things to a store last night. So I return my items and decide to stop at one of the racks to take a look at the clothing. Teagan is standing right next to me, and right next to her, mounted on the wall, right at 2 year old eye level, is the store's FIRE ALARM!!

Oh yeah she did! She set off the store's fire alarm! Which of course was followed by tears and crying because the realization set in that she had done something not so good!

I wanted the ground to open up and swallow me, as I walked over to the store manager to explain that my 2 year old had just shut her store down! Embarrassment at it's best!

Oh it doesn't end there... In the space of 5 minutes, Teagan had successfully summoned 2 Fire Trucks, 3 police cars, an ambulance and the FIRE CHIEF!!

OMG! I now had to explain to the Fire Chief that my 2 year old had caused all of this chaos and that I was terribly sorry... I thought for sure they were going to fine me. The Fire Chief was very nice, didn't fine me but I did get a stern (Principal's office style) reprimanding about being more attentive to what my child is doing!! And Teagan of course, put on her "I am the cutest kid ever" face and got a tour of the Fire Truck!!!

COME ON SUNSHINE!!

Ok, ok I know it's been like 2 years since I posted last, I hear you!! Just a busy few weeks for us. I was out of town last week on business, in a fabulous little town called Peoria, IL! (please note the sarcasm)... Sorry to any of you who read my blog that may be from Peoria.

Besides the 7 ft of snow (slight exaggeration) we have had this winter, spring seems to be peaking around the corner. Today was 47 degrees!! WHOO HOO!! Come on Sunshine!

Teagan is wonderful! Sassy, diva, princess that she is - but wonderful!! Teagan had her first "Mommy and Me" class ("Shake it all about"!) on Saturday at the Wauconda Park District. We had so much fun! We got to play with musical instruments, dance, sing and play games like Duck, Duck, Goose, Ring around the Rosy, we did the Hokie Pokie and laughed A LOT!! I will try and take some pics on Saturday at our next class, but mommy participation is much needed, so we'll see.
