EXCITING NEWS!!

Recently I applied for a new position within the Company that I work for, it would be a promotion as well as a pay increase, which would be great! Well... I got the call today!! They offered me the position and I accepted! I am really excited, this is a great opportunity and can't wait to get started!

Princess's Galore!!

We had such a fun filled Weekend! We had dinner with Lynn on Friday night for her Birthday, Olive Garden! Yummy!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY LYNN!!

Saturday morning was Miss Sophie's 1st Birthday Party! What a blast!! Muriel did a wonderful job turning her backyard into a Princess Playground! The kids were all so cute and had such a good time!

I spent Saturday night at the "Nickelback" concert, which was fab!! They are, surprisingly, really good live!! Had a great weekend!

I woke up this morning, realised it was Thursday! And that I hadn't posted anything since Sunday!! Sorry.... Thanks to the HUGE T-Storms we had last night, I lost power, so no pics again today... I will work on it tonight and post some pics tomorrow!! Teagan and I were out running errands (shoe shopping) last night when the Heaven's opened up and totally dumped an entire lake on us!! We were soaked by the time we got home!!

Teagan has turned into a total Water Baby!!

We had so much fun yesterday, after church we spent the day swimming! Teagan had so much fun - she has become a total tadpole!! Huge difference from the first time! This time she was definately wearing her "big girl panties" which came with a side order of "fearless"!!

We Miss Home...

Wow! Wednesday already, this week is flying by! Thought I would post some pics of home (South Africa) and family... We miss you all sooo much and can't wait to get back home again! A BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Michelle and Johann who just recently got engaged!!

We had the local Home Depot come out and do an estimate to replace my roof (Ow!!) and the rep gave Teagan a really cute mini Home Depot apron - she was in 7th heaven!

So.... I am convinced that Teagan is going to be an obsessive shoe shopper... Her Auntie Robyn gave her a pair of black knee high winter boots, very cute! Well... Teagan found them last night, insisted on putting them on and... WOULD NOT TAKE THEM OFF!!! If I had let her, she would have slept in them! It was a huge big deal to get her to take them off! Thanks Auntie Robyn.... lol

Chicago might as well be ON the Equator!!

It was hotter than Hades here yesterday and today is even worse!! Way past 100 degrees with the heat index!! Teagan and I spent the day running errands yesterday and we snuck in a little shopping as well... We are born to shop! Met up with my girlfriend Jenny at the Mall, and had lunch with her and her girls, fun!

Went to church this morning, and then to breakfast with our friends Lynn, Ester and Teagan's "Guy", Scott (Lynn's son). It is so hot here today, we are playing inside with Teagan's new "Bandstand" musical toy that is so wonderfully entertaining for her and very trying for Mommy... LOL

"Little Patriots"!

Happy July 4th!

We had a fantastic day! A fun pancake breakfast in the Park, spent most of it chasing little Miss Teagan all over the place, caught her right before she crashed a game of Bocce Ball!! Spent the rest of the morning swimming and playing outside with Sophie, and then hung out watching the Parade in the afternoon. Holy Moly was it hot out today! I thought for sure I was melting!! Teagan crashed out in the car before we even pulled out of Muriel & Jerry's driveway! She was totally tuckered out - What a fun filled Day!

(Mom, I will post pics later today - got frustrated with my fantastic dial up connection (can't get high speed because I live in Bumble Fu)! and gave up spending 20 mins to download 1 Picture!! AAAAHHHHHH...... I promise pics tonight)!

Welcome to our blog!! Well Teagan and I have finally gone high tech! I have spent so much time reading and following Muriel's blog, Muriel finally hooked me up, and after a quick lesson... Here we are!!

For those of you out there that are somewhat curious... I am originally from South Africa, been here for 10 years now, and am starting this blog because all my family is still back in South Africa and Teagan's Grammy needs a daily dose of her beautiful Granddaughter! Yes Mom.. this is especially for you!!

Teagan is 17 months old and full of sparkle... and sparks!

Well, tomorrow is July 4th and our Independence Day!! Teagan and I are spending the night with a couple of our best friends Muriel, Jerry and one of Teagan's best friends, Sophia Hope!! We are joining them for a pancake breakfast at the local park in the morning, and then a funfilled day of swimming and the Northbrook July 4th Parade!
